reference photos

Supplying a good reference photo is key to a great custom made painting! Here are some guidelines for providing reference photos that really make an impact.

Resolution

Choose photos that are high resolution and in focus; ideally a photo taken personally by you is preferred and more suitable than a found image.

Lighting
Use natural lighting where possible. Avoid harsh lighting such as a flash camera or direct sunlight as it washes out the image.

Angle
Be aware of the camera angle – choose pictures that are taken at eye level. Avoid extreme close ups or angles that distort the proportions of the image.

Which one?
Lastly, send as many as you like! We will choose one image to work from together.
